What exactly is the American Dream? To many it means very different things. But what if you couldn’t come to America to live out the “American Dream”?
This is Jose. He was the commencement speaker for the dental students of the UCSF Class of 2019. He is an incredible man, now dentist, who overcame so many obstacles to be here. Just like Jose, I can personally relate to his struggles to find the #AmericanDream because when I, myself was in dental school, I was faced with the struggle of immigration and green cards; unsure of the future, and my future as not only a dentist but a dentist in America.
@barakobama once said: “Change will not come if we wait for some other person or some other time. We are the ones we’ve been waiting for. We are the change that we seek.”
