Implant Dentistry

You can replace missing teeth in a manner that functions comfortably and has a natural appearance. Implants are a successful and proven procedure for the installation of fixed (non-removable) replacement teeth. They are biocompatible and form a strong fusion with bone to give stability similar to natural teeth. After the specialist has placed the implants in the jaw, we will complete the treatment of attaching natural crowns and bridges to them for a very functional and long-lasting result.

An inlay is similar to a filling and lies inside the cusp tips of the tooth. They are custom-made to fit the prepared cavity and are then cemented into place. An on-lay is a more extensive reconstruction that covers one or more cusps of a tooth. On-lays are indicated in situations where a substantial reconstruction is required. However, more of the tooth structure can be conserved compared to the placement of a crown.

To repair damage to the tooth’s biting surface, rather than using a simple filling or a crown, Dr. Benjamin will often use an inlay or an on-lay. Inlays and on-lays can be made from porcelain, gold or composite resin, although porcelain is now becoming the material of choice because of its strength and potential to match the natural color of your tooth.

Dentures, whether full or partial, are a removable solution for replacement of multiple or completely missing teeth. This type of treatment is a choice when there is not sufficient or available support for a fixed bridge. We pride ourselves in creating beautiful new smiles for many who would not expect to smile like themselves again.

    Treat or Prevent Periodontal Disease!
Dr. Benjamin may recommend using the laser to remove debris, infected gums and bacteria between your teeth and gums that can cause periodontal disease, bleeding gums, gum recession and even loss of teeth. The laser is highly effective at killing bacteria and may even stimulate gum tissue growth.

    Improve a Gummy Smile
We can reshape your gums to improve the appearance of your smile by removing excess gum tissue (free gingiva) that gives you a “Gummy Smile” or makes your teeth appear irregular in size or shape.

    Remove Oral Growths!
We can remove growths or excess tissue in your mouth such as gum tissue over an unerupted or partially erupted wisdom tooth, fibromas, amalgam tattoo and others.
