Jodi McLean

[sitename} jodi mclean office managerJodi grew up in Salt Lake City, golfing in the summer and skiing in waist-deep powder and doing pirouettes for the University of Utah’s renowned ballet school during the winter. She recently moved to the San Francisco Bay Area to familiarize herself with Marin County’s world-class road cycling scene, as well as to explore new growth opportunities in the world of dentistry. She has now spent over 15 years assisting in several successful practices in Utah. Certified in CAD Cam operation and an expert in lab work, Jodi also counts the delicate art of CEREC restoration amongst her favorite skills, which she employs in high-volume patient environments where integrity and quality of work are measured with efficiency and first-rate customer service. Jodi’s continuing passion for dentistry has brought her to the managerial side of the office. Here, she uses her love for interpersonal communication and a keen eye for detail to assess each patient’s unique dental needs and connects them with the best treatment plan for their budget. In her spare time, you might find her prowling the local farmer’s markets for obscure root vegetables, practicing yoga on Stinson Beach or leading a women’s cyclocross ride deep into the Marin Headlands.

I love every minute of being an employee at Marina Tooth Fairy Dental. Our team is more like a family with the same goals to give people healthy, beautiful smiles. The patients are absolutely wonderful, and I take great joy in being able to get to know each and every one of them. When listening to my patients, I take individual care to insure they are comfortable and have the best dental experience possible.” – Katelyn

Katelyn Van Ruiten graduated from Dental Hygiene School at the San Francisco Valley College and is a board-certified dental hygienist. She is from the Central Valley of California where most of her very large family lives. Marina Tooth Fairy Dental proudly brought Katelyn on as a team member in 2014, and she could not be happier to be a part of the team. Katelyn states she is “happy to find that she is part of such an innovative, state-of-the-art practice where the main goal is to educate every single patient on the importance of oral and systemic health.” She is a bubbly and energetic person who enjoys making people smile, and her passion in life is to keep those smiles clean and healthy. Her passions, however, do not stop at dentistry. She is a true country girl gone to the city and loves everything about it. She is taking full advantage of going to as many Giants games as she can! She is an extremely active individual and loves being outdoors in the sun. She is a newly formed cyclist and has been enjoying seeing all of the sights and views of the Bay Area on two wheels. She also enjoys hiking, swimming, paddle boarding and rock climbing and participates in weekly softball games. Her love for sports and activity blossomed in the office.
