Julie Bui, DDS
Marina Dentist, San Francisco
Dr. Bui truly believes in patient-centered care, and her primary objective is to provide each patient with an individualized approach to achieve his or her oral health goals. She takes the time to discuss all treatment options with each patient so they feel informed and empowered about their dental care. Most importantly, she emphasizes preventive care and develops treatment plans focused on maintaining healthy smiles for years to come.
Dr. Bui grew up in the Bay Area and completed her undergraduate education with a Biological Sciences degree at the University of California, Los Angeles. She then went on to obtain her Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree at the University of California, San Francisco. After dental school, Dr. Bui committed to furthering her education and clinical skills by completing a General Practice Residency at the Harvard School of Dental Medicine. As a dental student, she was awarded the prestigious Tylenol Future Care Award, which recognizes individuals who displayed academic excellence, exemplary leadership, community involvement, and dedication to a career of caring for others.
Since entering private practice, Dr. Bui keeps abreast of the latest advances and developments in the field of dentistry by frequently participating in continuing education courses and advanced training courses in cosmetic, restorative, and implant dentistry. She is a member of the California Dental Association (CDA), American Dental Association (ADA), Academy of General Dentistry (AGD) and American Association of Cosmetic Dentistry (AACD).
Dr. Bui’s passion for dentistry extends beyond private practice, as she cherishes different opportunities to provide dental care to individuals in many underserved communities both here in her own community and around the world. She volunteers at local dental clinics in the Bay Area, including CDA Cares and UCSF’s Community Dental Clinic, which provides dental care to San Francisco’s homeless population. Furthermore, she regularly provides dental care at a community dental health care clinic in Oakland, and, through this opportunity, Dr. Bui is able to give back to the community she grew up in. She also provides dental services to impoverished communities in Vietnam and Mexico.
When Dr. Bui is not practicing dentistry, she enjoys cooking, wine tasting, training for half-marathons, and planning her next travel destination.
